Lindsay Chandler grew up on a 60 acre farm in Tyronza, AR.  He studied agricultural engineering at the University of Arkansas with the intention of remaining in the agricultural business, but took a detour for some 20+ years.  During this time, he managed sales and promotions for musical acts such as the 5th Dimension, Johnny Rivers, Vikki Carr.  & ZZ Top.  In 1993, a serious illness caused him to return to his roots in Arkansas.  He gave serious thought to how he could make a living on the farm, and decided that flowers were the way to go.  He plants 5 acres of his farm with beautiful flowers that grace the homes and restaurants of Memphis.
Each Saturday, Lindsay  gets up around 2 AM to load his truck, and drive it to the Market filled with gladiolas, sunflowers, zinnias, and other assorted flowers.  Many people around town know him as the Gladiola Man.
Lindsay says the long days of flower growing are not entirely work, and there is much joy in seeing people walk away with a big bouquet of his flowers.
