Sheri McKelvie bakes some of the finest artisan bread in Memphis. Her crusty European slow rise loaves are bread how bread should be. Sheri says she started baking by accident 15 years ago.  She got trapped in a house on a mountain in Oregon by weather. Trying to keep occupied, she started browsing the many baking books in the house.  That happy accident started her baking career.

Sheri originally came to Memphis to work for City Bread, the defunct East Memphis bakery that introduced her breads to scores of Memphians.  The Memphis Farmers Market is currently the only retail venue offering her breads to the public.  Check out her delicious cranberry walnut loaves, fragrant rosemary olive oil loaves, nutritious whole wheat loaves with sunflower seeds, wonderful tomato focaccias, and very yummy Kalamata & Olive loaves, to name some favorites.  You'll get rave revues when you put her bread on your table, so make sure to stop by and see Sheri!
